Well done!

Sorry, no time to translate it till today :-(

No, this is only to adjust the driver timeout value!! The camera frame
rate is a fixed value. You need the -r option only, if the 1s default
value is too short (long time exposures), or you want to detect camera
sync problems (we adjust this vaue to 1.25 * 'camera frame rate' to find
hardware problems quickly).

The UMB option is not needed any longer, since the driver can allocate
it's memory dynamically. In other words - the bus master mode is now the
one and only working mode, but the target of the transfer is no longer the
reserved upper memory. Instead of this, we transfer directly into
malloced user space (read) or vmalloced and mmaped kernel space (mmap).

No. It should be enough, if the test program can show (and perhaps save)
images.
A frequently ask question is the support for reading config files. Do you
have time to support something dealing with this??

No problem. I'm very happy, that someone updates the old code to the new
driver version!!
